Because Cats Need Costumes Too.
Or, because my sister, who has cats, not kids, asked me to create a hat for her costume-loving kitty in the style of my Viking Baby Hairdo Hat. Seen here:
Except this cat is a guy, so I did a braided beard in lieu of the usual braids on the sides.
It was a little tricky because it was so frickin' small. And the fact that the recipient lives in Chicago and I had no cat model to work from, just his measurements. I could barely fit it on my hand!
It made me laugh out loud when I saw it on him though. And I'm normally not a "dress up your pet" kind of gal, but I'm really glad she asked me to make this.
It's a good thing I have kids, not pets or there would be all kinds of pet costume crazy going on:P
Sharing this with my FAVE LINK PARTIES too so check them out HERE!

wow. i'm impressed that your sister's cat isn't going nuts trying to take the hat off. it's a very very cute hat on a very cute cat!
ReplyDeleteThat is a SCREAM! I'm Danish and I'd totally do that to my dog. It's for a Halloween Pet Parade for our favorite shelter, so he doesn't mind one day of a bandanna or something for some extra treats.
ReplyDeleteMost excellent! Cute baby and stalwart cat, love the pics. I think my daughter's corgi needs this costume and soon!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Hearts it all.
ReplyDeleteThat cat looks thrilled to be wearing that. That is the exact look my cat gives when my daughter puts a hat on her. When she saw this she went looking for my cats pumpkin hat. LOL
